A very beautiful book. It was read to me as a child by my father, I wouldn't let him read the end as I feared tragedy. So I guess I will need to finish it.

I did go to that fallen Aristocracy party on the secret island, actually about a month ago. Twas a bit rainy, but lovely.
There was a Grey Gardens theme as well, it all happened to coincide with the stock market bleed out.

I am in a warm place where Snow birds live in Winter.
It is is full of melancholy decay, yet beautiful in places.
A jumping off place, for last contented years to be spent.
Out to pasture, Korean war generation amounts of diner food.
Much has been written on the subject.
I learned that IT is everywhere, and we are precarious.
No thing is certain.
There is a potential novelist working in the Dade City Goodwill.
She said she was raised in a bassinet on a jukebox in a bar in the foothills of the rockies just south of Denver.
She seems to be here under mysterious circumstances. I found a copy of The Beauty Queen of Leenanne in the book area and recommended it, but said it was dark, she said that was fine with her.
There is an eyedropper full of that kind of hope fullness.
There is more going on at the Mexican emporium then anywhere else in this uneventful place, fantastic cowboy boots.
There seems also to be a lot of over exposure to sun by the general population.
I have yet to meet Manatees.

Fashion for Spring

I am sure I was motivated by art when I chose to shop at WALLMART in Montichello NY yesterday.
Also I thought I needed things that they had so I surrendered my support the little guy ethic for a little one stop shopping.
Firstly It is an energy and soul extracting environment to be sure, but due to the lack of a central community meeting spot in the town it seems to be the place to be on a saturday afternoon. I only snapped a couple of shots because I had a rather diverse shopping list from wood hatchets to electronic mouse repellers, and can you believe it?, they didn't have any limes. I did begin to marvel at some of the outfits and the characters that were inhabiting them. There were teenage entourages as well as a strongly accessorized self proclaimed just redneck girl who showed me pictures of her pick up on her cell phone. So I take this all as a sign of spring.I will return.

I will be voting for
OBAMA on tuesday in the New York primaries, I wanted to be for Hillary for so many reasons. She even appeared to me in a dream once, strange. I am unable to do it at this moment. Unable to feel the feelings I would need to feel. Maybe it is as simple as she needs to not sound like a bossy older sister, that also reminds me of how far the Clinton White house sold us down the river in more than one way, built more prisons, took away college education as an option for rehabilitation for the incarcerated, as only one example of our non value sharing. Don't get me wrong, push comes to shove She is better than Mcain. I would just like us all to be better people and think that we can.

The Truth about tribuations, the dictionary says it is quite dreadful, A time of great suffering during end times. I am a beleiver in belief, A dear friend of mine has recently crossed over, passed on, call it what you will. I am crushed enough to be nearer to the blades of grass and the earth from whence they spring. I am experiencing the magical bugs eye view, while keeping a wary eye over my shoulder for the despots of finality. There are always visions available out of the corner of ones eye, if you are in the vortex, fairy circle, land of the lost, or wherever it is that a body goes.

I am happy it is spring again, April the month of many birthdays, My own not excluded. I never know what to do on this day, have a party, don't have a party, go to the dog track or Atlantic city. Or just take time to finish up the taxes. I am sure that somehow it will be nice.
There is a nor-easter coming down the pike as I sit and watch a rising river next to which is situated our beautiful river studio, country retreat, Pontiac garage that has suffered the high water before. I think it will be fine, will inform.
This is the necessary watery deluge that feuls the anticipated riot of spring flowers and greenery that we are waiting for.

This little clip from the afore mentioned film reminds me of being in an art class earlier life, I think it is kind of amazing to watch a real life Picasso painting get painted. It makes me sort of miss the old Museum of Modern Art.
I must be feeling a little nostlgic for the old Male Painters, Hmm. No I just like the animation quality.

Alora, Nursing a cold in NYC hence the call for Leonard, who means as much to the Al Gore set as Barbera Strisand does to a whole lot of other people. The righteous and sexy melencholy of his lyrics inspire me to little rebellions like wearing goloshes with mini dresses or other indulgences like dressing as a disheveled french dictator. I guess you can pick your own poison, I found many suprising and charming Leonard Cohen renditions on "the Googles". I am sure there are some Steisand covers too if thats what you're into, in the temple of song.
PS Don't play at the same time if already feeling low key.

I stopped in at Michelles, a famous candy store and ice cream parlour in downtown Colorado Springs, where I spent my holiday break. One can get ribbon candy there, which is made on the premises, ithink. I have early childhood memories of extracting ribbon candy from the inside of my christmas stocking, sort of unsticking it from the felt and taking in it's amazingly spicy and medicinal odour. The candy was a visually stunning and luminous treat, somewhat resembeling venetian glass. Here are some quotes from a local paper about this amazing place.

"After pulling a few hundred pounds of ribbon candy, you know you've worked a full day," he said. Ribbon candy is one of the store's signature Christmas treats, made from scratch from pure cane sugar and essential flavoring oils each Christmas. It's all done by hand - "We still make our own ice cream, right down to the flavorings and candies that go into it," Andy Michopoulos said. "I even blend and age my own vanilla extract in oak barrels."
Michelle's customers come in all ages. A 2-year-old's birthday party might be happening in a booth next to an octogenarian couple sharing a soda. For groups, Michelle's will produce the Believe It or Not Sundae, which serves 24 people.
The sundae was featured in Life magazine in 1959.

Ho ho in tha ho ho.....I can't be in the lovely town of Roscoe NY, see above , for christmastime, with the best beloved, Robin Winters and the jellybeans. as I am traveling to Denver today to spend the yule tide with my Grandmother and other assorted, yet important, relations in Colorado Springs,( christian right stronghold). The flight has now been officially delayed 18 hours due to blizzard conditions on the ground in Denver. I am sitting in the terminal actually not minding the free time, which has been hard to come by of late. I will also be reporting vividley from the vacation location. It will make you wish you were there.

1. My next wish is for you to buy me a monkey . A spider monkey in particular. I am going to name him/her Babu Bhatt and I will train him to become a pocket picker. So that whenever we all go out, he can steal your money .

2.I wish I was little bit taller. I wish I was a baller. I wish I had a man who looked good I would call him. I wish I had a rabbit in a hat with a bat And a six four Impala. Yah that's right. That's five different wishes in one…I got skilllllllz when I ask for presents!

3. I been very good. I have come to realize I love coral bells
. For some reason I dont have any of these. So I would love any. I also would love baby bear sunflower and the joker. P.S. Does Santa's helper have any wants? I too have many many seeds and none listed on my site.

This is one of my favorite pictures in life! It is a picture of my cousin Margaret Bartlett, on the swing set in Boonville in Upstate NY wearing a matching red knit hat, scarf and glove set . Margaret has always been and still is an amazing person. She is currently living in Denver with her husband Charles. They are both Artists. More about them later.

It is five to twelve noon on a thursday and I am sitting in the Jalopy waiting for 12:30 so I can keep my free and fancy Soho parking spot. It is never easy to arrange ones life around a parking spot but if you call 311 or go on line to find the parkng schedule
